Derivations - Wind Band

Wind Band - The composition Derivations is built on a small motif (at the beginning of 3 and later 4 of different tones), giving little or more profound changes. This technique is used by the composer in several of his compositions. The structure of the work is straightforward (in the form of fast - slow - fast) and the technical and musical demands make this composition a real contest piece. The work is commissioned by fanfare band Kunst en Vriendschap - Partij-Wittem and its conductor Paul Oligschläger. This composition was appointed as compulsory piece at the WMC - Kerkrade 2005.
